The NWR Central Region is divided into five areas each of which contains a number of groups as set out below.

If you cannot find a group near you please get in touch as new groups are being formed all the time.

Thame Fortnightly  Small friendly group, meeting for general discussions and to research topics. Regular social events including barbecues, parties, theatre trips and walks. New members very welcome.

Wantage   We meet every 3 weeks. We meet on a rotating basis on Monday to Thursday evenings in members' homes. We have a varied programme of discussions, talks, theatre trips, activities, walks and meals out. New members and fresh ideas are always welcome!

Cox Green   Thursday weekly We are a well-supported group in Cox Green area of Maidenhead and welcome new members. We have had a stimulating list of activities on our diary this year including a visit to Maidenhead Heritage Centre, several local theatre trips, quizzes and themed evenings at our homes. Earley Friday  Lunches once a month, social events. Regular food evenings   
Goring on Thames Wednesday  Meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month. We are a friendly group open to newcomers and good ideas. Discussions, guest speakers, annual pub walk, theatre trips and visits.   
Maidenhead Monday  Alternate Monday afternoons from 1.30 - 3.30. We play Mahjong at approximately half the meetings and also have discussions, talks and outings on the rest including planning lunches. We always participate in the local and national quizzes.   
North Ascot Rotating  Meets fortnightly on alternate Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Small friendly group eager to welcome new members. Apart from fortnightly evening discussions we have an annual dinner out, a midsummer walk with partners ending at a local hostelry. We also have a monthly book group.  Contact North Ascot
Sonning Common Thursday  Meets every other Thursday evening. Discussions, guest speakers, theatre outings, pub walks, yearly 4 day trips to the continent. Spin offs: Monthly Craft group, Book group every 6 weeks.   
Wokingham 1 Rotating  Meets Monday to Thursday evenings on a rolling system. We are a very active, friendly and long standing group which has been in existence for approximately 35 years. We have lots of discussions, research evenings, some foody meetings but not too many speakers. We have a thriving book group, diners' club, theatre trips, pub lunches and occasional visits to museums/exhibitions. There is also a new monthly group called NWR Plus for those retired and semi-retired members going on day trips, lunches and garden visits.   
Wokingham 3   General meetings approximately every three weeks, rotating Monday through Thursday evenings. Very varied programmes to try and accommodate all who are interested. New members welcome. Contact current Local Organiser Karen Vive.  Contact Wokingham 3
Woodley Wednesday  Friendly, welcoming group. Speakers, discussions and theatre trips to local productions. Evenings.   
Yateley Wednesday  Yateley is a friendly group which meets for talks, walks, quizzes, chocolate tasting, BBQs etc. We welcome new members.  Contact Yateley

Amersham South   We are having meetings on planning your funeral; the telephone quiz, planning evening with discussion about how we organise our time; the origins of words and sayings; Christmas party with games; an outing to the Pantomime; an evening meal at a restaurant; Shrove Tuesday with discussion on what we put in our bodies; a member reporting on a holiday in the Galapagos Islands; Talk on "Freecycle"; the NHS; We occasionally discuss books and arrange trips to the theatre etc. We have an annual evening walk finishing up in a local pub.  Contact Amersham South

Burnham Taplow      
Chesham   We are a small friendly group who usually meet on the first or second Wednesday of the month at one of our houses. Subjects and activities this year include the history of tea, unsuitable or surprising marriages, a St Georges Day Party, a traditional English Garden Tea party, a speaker from the Aylesbury Astronomical Society. We also arrange picnics and evening pub walks. New members very welcome.  Contact Chesham
Gerrards Cross / Chalfont St Peter      
Lacey Green/Hughenden   Monday to Thursday evenings, 8pm start, unless, theatre or cinema or meal Book group, 2nd Monday in the month. We are a friendly bunch, do join us, much discussion, laughter, gossip and wine.

Tring   Meets fortnightly during term time. We are a small friendly group who meet regularly for discussions and themed evenings with occasional speakers.  Contact Tring

Harpenden   Fortnightly Small friendly group - new members always welcome. We enjoy food, wine, theatre, travel and books.   
Hatfield   Wide variety of topics including play reading and a monthly book group.

Hemel Hempstead South Tuesday  We meet twice a month on a Tuesday evening. We are an open, friendly group, keen on discussions. Plenty of talk, laughter, challenges and a variety mixed with a selection of ages, personalities and a good sense of fun. We organise a summer walk, barbeque and odd lunches.

Hertford/Ware   Small friendly group which meets twice a month.   
Hitchin Tuesday  We meet weekly and have members from Luton and Stevenage as well as Hitchin.   
Leighton Buzzard   We are a very friendly group who meet every month, except in August, on variable evenings. We have a planning meeting in July when members choose meeting topics. The topics are varied and include discussions, outings and visiting speakers.
