The NWR North East Region is divided into five areas each of which contains a number of groups as set out below.

If you cannot find a group near you please get in touch as new groups are being formed all the time.

Cottingham Tuesday  We meet the 1st Tuesday of the month and have a book group that meets the 2nd Tuesday in the month.  Contact Cottingham

Pickering District   We meet on various weekday evenings about once a fortnight and cover a variety of topics, serious and light-hearted. We always enjoy food and drink-related topics and have social outings to the ballet, theatre, cinema, gardens etc. We don't have separate clubs but incorporate book review evenings and walks within our programme. We have a Treasure Hunt, a summer BBQ and a Christmas/ New Year party to which partners are invited. A very friendly and welcoming group.  Contact Pickering District
Whitley Fortnightly on Mondays  Currently 13 members aged 30 - 65. 2 retired, 4 with children under five, 3 part time and 8 full time working, in a wide range of professions.  Contact Whitley

York Fortnightly  Meetings are fortnightly, rotating through Mon - Thurs. We also have coffee mornings on alternate Thursdays and a book group once a month on a Tuesday.

Horbury District Fortnightly Mon-Fri rotating.  Meetings are evenings with occasional lunches. We cover a broad range of topics from serious research based to more lighthearted. Topics such as food & travel are always popular. We also enjoy day and evening social outings, such as cinema, theatre, meals, places of interest and gardens. Dronfield Varies  A friendly group which meets for fortnightly evening discussions on a rolling Monday through to Thursday. Monthly book, lunch and walking groups with occasional theatre trips.

Retford   We meet approx every 3 weeks Mon-Thurs evenings with occasional daytime events mainly in summer. We also have a separate book group which meets monthly using books provided by the Notts County Library service for reading groups.  Contact Retford
Rotherham Fortnightly, evenings & some day times Mon - Thurs  We are a group of about 15 members and have been established 23 years. We share almost all of our meetings and activities with the Aston Group. We have a mix of light-hearted and serious topics as well as social activities. We also have Bridge, Reading and Walking Groups.
