The NWR Scottish Region is divided into five areas each of which contains a number of groups as set out below. If you cannot find a group near you please get in touch as new groups are being formed all the time.

Arbroath Monday  Fortnightly. A lively group enjoying a very varied programme with debates, discussions and occasional outings to theatre/cinema. All members, enquirers and ex-members are very welcome.

Bridge of Don Various  We meet all days of the week to ensure our members with varying commitments are able to join in at least some meetings. We have a varied programme which includes discussion, visits to the Theatre, Concerts, Cinema, meals and walks.

Inverurie Tuesday  Varied programme.   
Skye & Lochalsh   We are a small friendly enthusiastic group with diverse interests. We meet on alternate Thursdays and would be delighted to welcome new members or visitors to the island.  Contact Skye & Lochalsh

Dunfermline Thursday  We meet once a month on Thursday for our 'normal' meeting and once a month for our Bookclub. We have at least one weekend trip each year. We endeavour to make our year as diverse as possible - some leisure/craft activity, some discussion requiring research, one outdoor, some discussion relating to personal topics, and some personal learning sessions  Contact Dunfermline
Falkirk Wednesday  We meet weekly during term time on a Wednesday. Over the summer holidays we have fortnightly walks. We welcome new members and also anyone on holiday who would like to join us for an evening.

Perth Fortnightly on Thursdays  Also have a summer programme of daytime activities, also theatre visits and book evenings at local library.   
Saline      
Stirling District Various  We meet fortnightly on alternate Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. A very lively group with a very varied programme of debates, discussions, walks, outings to theatre, cinema, arts exhibitions, etc. The group also has a monthly lunch, a crafts club and a bridge club that welcomes beginners. We welcome enquirers, newcomers and ex-members.

Beith Mon -Thurs  In Beith there is a warm welcome for anyone coming along to our large and ever growing group which takes in members from all around this lovely rural area. Meetings take place on varied evenings from September till May, twice monthly, 8pm, in members’ homes for discussions or speaker evenings always with the emphasis in participation. In addition there are visits and social events. Our membership is still growing and we are pleased to see participation in the Walkers Group also remaining steady with new ladies coming along to step it out each year. That group meets in the evenings at 7.30pm weekly from April till early September.  Contact Beith
Bishopton   A long established group with a varied and interesting programme. New members welcome.   
Bridge of Weir   Excellent programme with a variety of topics covered. Would welcome new members.   
Giffnock   A long established group but is certainly not set in its ways - always lively.   
Glasgow South Mon - Thurs fortnightly  We are a friendly group who welcome new and former members. We enjoy serious and light-hearted discussions and occasionally have theatre, cinema or restaurant evenings. Meetings continue during the summer months.  Contact Glasgow South
Helensburgh Wednesday  We meet fortnightly on a Wednesday evening. We are a group with strong foundations in a lovely location. We have a detective fiction group, a monthly lunch group and a twice yearly theatre group.   
Houston   Welcomes new members and hosts many area events with stimulating speakers. Also has a varied social programme.   
Kilbarchan   The Kilbarchan group meets every second Wednesday.We have recently welcomed several new members which has brought new ideas. We have a few speakers ,but usually concentrate on discussion evenings, along with one or two visits each session. We all take our turn in preparing an evening rather than leave this to one organiser. We enjoy social events at Christmas and in the summer.  Contact Kilbarchan
Kilmarnock/Loudoun Monthly  Has a rural setting and would be delighted to have more members.   
Largs Fortnightly  We also have members from the surrounding villages of Wemyss Bay, Skelmorlie and West Kilbride. Some members have been part of NWR for over 20 years while others are newcomers to the area and find NWR a good way to meet people. We enjoy interesting discussions and fun evenings.  Contact Largs
Milngavie and Bearsden Fortnightly  We welcome new members.   
Strathaven   We meet fortnightly in a member's house. The group numbers 24; we all have input to our programme, which runs from August to end of June and try to make our evenings varied and fun!
