NWR has a thriving presence is Australia with groups in many parts of the country.

The first Australian NWR Group was formed in 1968, and it still continues today. Like the UK, there is no joining fee, and the membership cost is a modest AU$15 per year which is used to pay for insurance cover, publicity materials, and the quarterly newsletter.

National Conference

NWR Australia holds a national conference each year, which is run by a different group each year. This year's conference will be organised by the Eastern Suburbs Group in Sydney and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Coogee on 27th Oct 2012. The theme is "Culture by the sea" and will include talks by artists, sculptors and writers as well as a visit to the "Sculpture by the Sea" exhibition.
