What's Happening
- TAKE THE CHALLENGE in 2012. Join in NWR's BIG READ, enter the SHORT STORY COMPETITION; details are in the Register or contact the NWR Office. Groups and members are setting their own challenges and reviewing their success, or otherwise, later in the year.
- The NWR BIG READ book is Started Early, Took my Dog by Kate Atkinson. Don't forget your local library and bookshop will stock the book. Please join in - read and review with your Group by the end of September and then share your thoughts on the website forum.
- SHORT STORY COMPETITION: Fire up your imaginations along with pen and paper and start on your own Short Story to enter in NWR’s Competition - closing date for entries is 30th May. Stories to be sent to the NWR Office via email or post. 1st Prize £100, two 2nd prizes of £50 each…
- The 2012 Telephone Treasure Trail will be set by Kilbarchan NWR Group and will take place 12th to 15th November. Application forms available from the NWR Office.
- Extra Conference activities: the Friday evening boat trip is now FULLY BOOKED; the coach trip on Sunday will not now take place due to lack of interest.

- 22nd June: CE04 Area Quiz (7.30pm for 8pm start)
The Mad Hatters from Hatfield NWR invite you to send a team or teams of six people to a Quiz Evening. The Lively Minds Trophy will go to the winning team. The cost will be £12 per team.

INSPIRED - NWR's 2012 National Conference at the Clarendon Suites in Birmingham.
- 15th September: EA02 Area Meeting
The speaker will be the auctioneer and valuer, Colin Young, on the challenge of antiques.
