Regional Membership Officer
Are you an energetic, dynamic people-person who is also self-sufficient, proactive and creative? You might be who we are searching for! If you also have experience in supporting volunteers, members or similar then please do apply.
NWR, or the National Women’s Register, exists to provide mentally stimulating meetings, activities and events across the country. We were 60 years old in 2020, and are as necessary and relevant today as we have ever been to combat loneliness and isolation amongst women.
As a Regional Membership Officer, you’ll be the face of NWR within the region, working with our current members and volunteers to engage new members and start new groups. This role is a new one for NWR so you will be helping us to develop it in line with the needs of the organisation.
The working week is varied and includes evening work and travel within your region, as well as occasional weekend and national travel.
This role will allow you to use your love of working with people. You’ll enjoy working with women and with volunteers, and care about providing interesting social opportunities for women.
You will need confidence and a strong personality to work with our members, as well as members of the public. You’ll need resilience, the ability to take the initiative and work well as part of a team, and the ability and motivation to work largely unsupervised.
You will need access to your own vehicle in order to travel across your region.
The closing date for applications is 12pm midday on the 30th April 2021.
We will be holding initial interviews via Zoom on the 10th and 11th May.
If you are successful in progressing to the next stage, this will be an in-person interview in Taunton on Monday 17th May.
Please indicate on your application if you are unable to attend any of the interview dates.
