East Anglian Diamond Day 2020 Celebration

Date: Wed 26 Feb 2020 00:00 to 00:00.

Celebration day in Bury St Edmunds with a delicious lunch, guided tours and activities and stimulating speakers.

You’ll be excited to hear there will be a regional celebration in East Anglia to mark NWR’s 60th anniversary next year to which you are invited!

If you fancy a fun day out in beautiful Bury St Edmunds with a delicious lunch, guided tours and activities, and stimulating speakers (one from the British Trust for Ornithology, and the other Alison Bruce, writer of the Gary Goodhew crime novels), save the date in your diaries: Wednesday 26 February 2020.

This was the date 60 years ago that Maureen Nicol, the founder of our organisation, had her letter, suggesting setting up a register of housebound housewives, published in the Guardian.

To secure your place in the Athenaeum Subscription Rooms watch out for further information on the NWR website www.nwr.org.uk later this year. You will be able to book online using Eventstop.

Spread the word. Don’t miss out on your chance to be part of an NWR milestone!
