A warm welcome awaits you in Dundee, which is famous for Jam, Jute and Journalism.
We plan to explore how the city and people's lives have changed and developed through our two speakers: Norman Watson, a journalist and author; and Judy Robertson, a historian who has studied women's lives in the Jute mills.
The conference will be held in the Victoria Suite and a buffet lunch will be served in the Q-Bar / Breakfast room with refreshment breaks offering tea, coffee and biscuits.
After lunch, visits to four different attractions are available:
V and A Museum - This exciting new museum showcases the best of Scottish design. The Mary Quant exhibition is the first international retrospective of this iconic British designer who started a fashion revolution that a whole generation wanted to take part in.

Verdant Works - Relive the story of Dundee's industrial textile heritage in the atmospheric setting of a beautifully refurbished jute mill setting.

The McManus Art Gallery and Museum explains the story of Dundee and its people and contains its internationally significant art and Museum collection.

There is a wide variety of accommodation available in Dundee, however, this a holiday weekend and booking is advised.
Dundee is easily reached by air, train, bus or car. There is free parking available at the hotel which is in the centre of town.
